We've been doing this since 2005. Our Downtown Vancouver location on Howe Street and our Cambie Village studio are both set up with private couples rooms. Most couples massage in Vancouver happens at hotel spas or chain wellness centres. Leelawadee is different: we're an independent Thai spa that has been practising the real thing since before most of those places existed.
Our therapists are trained in authentic traditional Thai technique, and our couples rooms are designed to let you both fully switch off — no rush, no one-size-fits-all routine, no sales pitch when you arrive.

Each person in the room chooses their own massage style — you don't have to match.
Traditional Thai Couples Massage
The original. You stay fully clothed in loose, comfortable clothing while your therapist works through a sequence of guided stretches and acupressure along the body's energy lines. Rhythmic, grounding, and unlike anything else. Ideal if you both want to leave feeling lighter and more mobile.
60, 90, or 120 minutes
Deep Tissue Couples Massage
Targeted pressure work on the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Particularly good if either of you carries tension in the shoulders, lower back, or hips. Our approach is Thai-influenced — more dynamic than standard deep tissue, with active pressure and movement rather than passive lying still.

Thai Aroma Oil Couples Massage
A full-body oil massage using aromatherapy blends selected for relaxation. Slower and more fluid than Thai or deep tissue — this is the one to choose if the goal is pure unwinding. Towels provided. No experience required.

Your Visit
What happens during a couples massage
Arrival
You arrive together and are guided to our couples room — a private space with two massage mats (for Thai) or tables (for oil massage) set side by side. Each person is paired with their own therapist.
The Session
Your sessions start and end at exactly the same time. For traditional Thai massage, stay in your clothes. For oil massage, we provide everything you need. Tell your therapist at the start if you have areas to focus on or anything to avoid. Pressure is always adjustable.
After
Take your time. We serve ginger tea, and there's no rush to clear out. A lot of couples say the 10 minutes after the massage — quietly together with a warm drink — is their favourite part of the visit.

Authentic Thai technique — not a chain. Leelawadee has been independently owned and operated since 2005. Our founder trained and was certified at the WATPO Thai Traditional Medical School in Bangkok. There's no membership sales pitch when you arrive — just a calm space and skilled therapists.

Couples massage FAQ
Yes. Our couples rooms are set up with two mats or tables side by side so you experience the session together. If you'd prefer separate rooms, we're happy to accommodate that too — just let us know when booking.
Absolutely. One traditional Thai, one deep tissue, one aroma oil — mix however you like. Each person has their own therapist who will work to their own preferences.
We recommend 2–3 days ahead for weekday slots and 4–5 days for evenings and weekends. Couples rooms fill quickly, especially Friday and Saturday evenings. Book online or call (778) 886-3675 to check same-day availability.
It's one of our most popular gifts — birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine's Day, just because. We offer gift certificates that can be purchased and sent digitally.
For Thai massage: comfortable, loose clothing — yoga pants and a t-shirt are ideal. For oil massage: we provide towels and everything you need. No special preparation required.
Our services are not performed by Registered Massage Therapists (RMT) and cannot be claimed through extended health benefits. If insurance coverage is a priority, ask about our RMT availability when you call.
